Kid gets arrested for writing zombie fiction.

This is retarded.

William Poole, an 18-year-old high school student from Kentucky has been arrested and is facing felony charges for writing a short story about zombies over-running a high school.

Apparently the kid’s grandparents found his story and reported him to the authorities.  I guess they assumed that he was planning a Columbine-like incident but instead of guns, he was somehow going to resurrect the dead to take out his classmates.

Remember what I said about this being retarded?

“My story is based on fiction,” said Poole, who faces a second-degree felony terrorist threatening charge. “It’s a fake story. I made it up. I’ve been working on one of my short stories, (and) the short story they found was about zombies. Yes, it did say a high school. It was about a high school over ran by zombies.”

Even so, police say the nature of the story makes it a felony. “Anytime you make any threat or possess matter involving a school or function it’s a felony in the state of Kentucky,” said Winchester Police detective Steven Caudill.

    Pssh.

  2. Yet another reason Kentucky is viewed as it is….
Hope no one owns a copy of Heathers down there!

  3. I’m just glad I got done with school when I did. I’d hate being a kid nowadays. I’d have wound up in jail over nothing.

  4. Is this the same Kentucky kid from a couple years ago, or a new story? If it’s the same kid, what got him wasn’t so much the story as it was the elaborate maps and diagrams of the high school he made to go along with the story. Seems more creative than dangerous. And I’m usually paranoid.
