Attack of the Zombie Pumpkins!

Can you tell which one is the pumpkin?

Can you tell which one is the pumpkin?

Pumpkin-carving is one of those events that always comes around this time of year that you get really excited about, only to realize that once you start actually doing it, the novelty quickly wears off and you’re just ready to get the whole ordeal over with.  (See also: Haunted trails, costume shopping, zombie slaying.)

As you can see, my pumpkin design this year kind of went hand-in-undead-hand with Send More Cops so I couldn’t help but show it off a bit.

If you’re unfamiliar with what movie this image comes from, then you probably accidentally stumbled across this website and are wondering what the hell is wrong with all of us.  Otherwise, you’ll realize that it’s from Lucio Fulci’s Zombie (or Zombi 2, depending on your level of Italian-ness), also known as The Movie Containing the Single Greatest Scene Featuring A Zombie Ever Committed to Celluloid.

I’d like to say that I just free-handed that bad boy, but the truth is, I had a bit of help from the folks at ZombiePumpkins.com.  Zombie Pumpkins is the best website out there to find pumpkin carving patterns.  (I promise they’re not paying me to say so… I’mreally just a big fan.)  Depsite their name, their patterns feature more than just pumpkins.  You’ll be able to find everything from Pinhead to Yoda to SpongeBob.  There’s a small fee to join, but it’s well worth your money.

Best. Pumpkin. Ever. Fulci would be proud. He might even make a really slow-moving, yet amazing movie about this pumpkin.
