Zombie Boot Camp

Posted in funny, On the Web, YouTube on July 31, 2009 by leighcifer

This is so full of awesome.

There is an amusement park in Japan called Fuji-Q Highland, which offers a huge horror maze called Saikyō Senritsu Meikyū.  Recently, as part of publicity stunt by the amusement park, there was a staged press conference stating that the park was going to be closed down in order to train the zombies to be more scary.  They even went as far as making videos of the zombie training program!

Thanks to Laura for sending me the article from Pink Tentacle.

‘Xombie’ gets a DVD release

Posted in YouTube with tags on February 6, 2009 by Justin

Xombie, as you may know, is a flash-animated series from James Farr that debuted online back in 2003.  Well, Xombie fans rejoice, because the entire Xombie: Dead on Arrival series is being released on DVD on March 31st.  I used to watch this series religiously, so I’m pretty excited about it.  And you should be too.

If you’ve never seen the series (why?!), and don’t want to wait for the DVD, it’s still available in its entirety at the official Xombie site at Xombiefied.com.

Natalie emailed me this link and asked me to post it – a new video from Ryan Mecum, author of Zombie Haiku.  It’s good stuff.  And so is his book.  If you don’t already have it, you’re missing out.

Thank you, Clorinox Chemical Co.!  Sadly, the narration on this film is not done by Troy McClure.

OMG Brains!

Posted in funny, YouTube on January 3, 2009 by leighcifer

A friend just reminded me of a ridiculously funny video of The Living Dead Girlz. You might think it’s stupid as hell, or you may laugh your butt off and quote it frequently to anyone who will listen. I choose the latter.

By the way, Brains is a parody of a much stupider and less zombie-filled video called Shoes.

Zombie Nazi flick ‘Dead Snow’ to go to Sundance.

Posted in movies, YouTube with tags on December 5, 2008 by Justin

I’m not sure how this happened, but somehow the film snobs that have taken over the Sundance Film Festival in the last few years have managed to let a Norwegian zombie Nazi movie sneak into their prestigious little fest.

To celebrate, the filmmakers have provided us zombie lovers with a new, full-length trailer.  From this trailer, it’s clear that the movie is a fun, tongue-in-cheek endeavor.  Which is good, because if anyone tried to make a “serious” film about zombie Nazis, they’d probably fail.  Miserably.

So do you think that they only go after Jewish brains or what?  What, too soon?
