RIP – Michael Jackson

While the world takes note that the “King of Pop” has passed away, we, the zombies, undead and those that fight them, take note that a great creative talent has died.  Despite the media circus attraction that Jackson had deteriorated into, none of us can ignore his contributions with the movie-music-videos of “Ghosts,” “Torture” and, of course, “Thriller.”

Rest in Peace, Michael Joseph Jackson. 1948-2009

Music Video: “Re: Your Brains” by Jonathan Coulton

Fair warning: This song will get stuck in your head.

I’ve been a big fan of Jonathan Coulton‘s for a while now.  I mean, anyone can write a song about zombies, but who can write one as witty and fun and catchy as this one?  This guy’s a geek’s geek.  A former computer programmer, Coulton has made a career as a musician without the help of any sort of record label — he just does it all himself, right here on the internet.  And then he goes and writes songs about zombies, Snakes On A Plane and Flickr.

You can watch a couple of other versions of this video on YouTube, including the infamous World of Warcraft video and a live performance.  I found this video (from Dragon•Con TV) via Zombie Command.

Be sure to check out Jonathan’s official website where you can read more about his music, and purchase his songs for a buck apiece.  (Oh, and he’s also got an “Re: Your Brains” t-shirt.  Because lord knows I need more t-shirts.)

Music Video: “He’s Behind You, He’s Got Swine Flu” by The Streets

Posted in in the news, Videos with tags , , , on May 11, 2009 by Justin

Sharing this video with your would be an excellent opportunity to let you know about this hilarious article detailing a new strain of the Swine Flu, known as H1Z1 that has the ability to turn victims into flesh-eating zombies.  An excerpt:

The Netherlands confirms its first case of zombie swine flu, in a three-year-old boy recently returned from Mexico. After passing away early this morning, he rose from the dead and lunged at his mother.

What’s so great about it is that the website looks exactly like a legic BBC News page, so if one were to not look at the URL (which is based at, the article could pass for an actual BBC News entry.

But surely, everyone who read this would know that it’s just a joke, right?  Right?

Oh.  Hm.
